-- Previously: Zack arrived at the Rustboro Gym to battle the leader, Roxy. In the battle, Zack had sent out Seedot against Sandshrew, but Seedot lost. Zack then sent out his last Pokemon to finish the job. With Sandshrew gone, Roxy was on her last Pokemon too... --
"Nosepass, finish it!" From out of the Pokemon came a short rock Pokemon with a long beak. "I don't need the Pokedex for this," I muttered.
"Treecko, use leech seed!" But Leech Seed only took a few hit points away from foe Nosepass.
"Rock Throw!" Roxy ordered Nosepass.
"Dodge it, Treecko!" Treecko managed to dodge the big rocks, but got severely spooed by the smaller ones. "The next time Treecko won't be so lucky," stated a concerned Roxy. "No, he won't," I said to myself.
"Treecko, try another Leech Seed!"
Roxy knew Treecko would be finished with another Rock Throw, so she had Nosepass do a final Rock Throw. This time, Treecko was covered.
"Treecko?" No reply. TREEEEEEECKOOOOOOOO!" I had tears in my eyes. "Uh oh, I'm sorry," Roxy said.
But all of a sudden, the rocks covering Treecko were thrown out of the way. Dust and dirt was everywhere. I had to cover my eyes as did Roxy. But as all the dust started to clear, I could only make out a tall figure standing in the centre of the battlefield. "Roxy?" I asked suspiciously.
Once everything was cleared, there stood a wounded Grovyle. "Treecko? You evolved?" I asked. "Grov," it nodded. "Alright Treecko!" I exclaimed. "Or should I say, Grovyle."
'Nosepass, use a Headbutt!"
"Grovyle, dodge!" "Grovyle!" it said confidently and dodged the Headbutt.
"Rockthrow again!"
Just before the rocks hit Grovyle, it sliced them out of its way with Leafblade. "A leaf blade attack?" I asked. Grovyle nodded. "YES!!" I cried with extreme joy.
"Finish Nosepass off with one final Leafblade!"
And just like that, Nosepass lost. "Nosepass is unable to battle," announced the judge, "Zack is the winner!"
Grovyle and I slapped each other a high five, and I went to recieve my badge.
"Since you have won," Roxy said, "I claim you this Stone Badge!" "Alright!" I did a V for victory sign with my fingers. I placed the badge in the first slot in my badge case. I quickly left the gym to go to the Pokemon Centre one last time, then I was gonna go get Lauren.
